CleanSea® Oxidation achieves high-rate treatment with low life cycle costs
Oxidation Processes
CleanSea® Oxidation systems integrate Hydroxyl advanced oxidation processes (AOP) proven in many industrial wastewater installations. Within the process, ozone is produced using industry-leading equipment. Ultra-Violet reactors provide not only complete disinfection capabilities but are also configured to produce oxidizing radicals, reliably destroying organic constituents within the wastewater.
The integration of oxidation within the flotation process provides further reduction of biological oxygen demand (BOD), total suspended solids (TSS), and fats, oils, grease (FOG), as well as disinfecting wastewater. Within the process, ozone is introduced using a high efficiency gas transfer system. Dissolved ozone and ozone micro-bubbles contact wastewater to float and oxidize constituents within the process.
The principal benefit of this combination of oxidation and flotation processes is the suspended solids floated within the CleanSea Oxidation system are further oxidized, reducing solids handling requirements. This unique ozonation process reduces organics, color, and odor in wastewater, delivering safe effluent for discharge to sea.
CleanSea® Oxidation equipment offers the following distinct advantages:
Reliable Performance
UltraFloat technology achieves high quality effluent for compliant discharge to sea regardless of changes to temperature, salinity, loading, or flow volume.
Chlorine-Free Process
The CleanSea Oxidation process uses no chlorine additives, eliminating the need to store or handle chlorinated compounds onboard; effluent is safely discharged to sea without any chlorine contamination.
Low Maintenance
Process control is simple and overall process efficiency can be easily monitored with standard monitoring equipment. The process uses no membranes and no filters, eliminating the need for replacement of these maintenance items.
