Computer Assisted Modeling
In addition to specialized laboratory testing programs, pilot-scale trials, and professional engineering design, Hydroxyl offers clients computer assisted modeling services. Modeling is accomplished by simulating ActiveCell™ operating design conditions by analyzing client-supplied wastewater data.
MediaPro™ Design Software
A full-featured, operationally-tested and proven biofilm carrier design application, MediaPro 2.5 is a proprietary computer simulation software package developed by Hydroxyl's environmental engineers and software application developers. An empirical design program compiling scientific methodology and industry accepted design formulae, MediaPro accurately simulates actual process conditions from client-supplied wastewater data. This computer assisted analysis enables Hydroxyl environmental engineers to optimize the sizing of biological processes, the volumetric supply of ActiveCell biofilm carriers, and the required density of process-retained biology for optimum biodegradation capacity. This ensures that full-scale process equipment will reliably produce consistent effluent quality when installed at the client's facility.
MediaPro is now second-generation software and, over a period of years since its initial development, has depicted operating conditions on numerous ActiveCell projects prior to installation with precision. In combination with Bench-Scale Simulation or On-Site Pilot Testing, MediaPro 2.5 can accurately depict exact operational conditions to clients requiring the highest level of design confidence.
Hydromantis GPS-X Software
GPS-X Simulation Software
For real-time dynamic simulations of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment processes, Hydroxyl employs industry-leading GPS-X software developed by Hydromantis, Inc. Hydroxyl has experience designing multiple stage ActiveCell processes and integrated fixed-film / activated sludge (IFAS®) processes using GPS-X software for a number of years, with installations in excess of 4MGD (million gallons per day) in operation around the world.
Large municipal facilities are typically simulated for the performance enhancements achieved by integrating ActiveCell biofilm carrier technology within existing activated sludge processes. This is accomplished by analyzing annual operating data (or multi-year data) of the existing activated sludge system. In real-time using GPS-X, Hydroxyl engineers can simulate the actual performance improvements of implementing ActiveCell processes at the facility. The analysis can be adjusted for multiple stage biological processes using aerobic and anoxic stages, configured for ammonia reduction, or Total Nitrogen removal.
As a result, Hydroxyl engineers can improve plant capacity, operating efficiency, and effluent quality by accurately simulating ActiveCell processes prior to installation. This optimizes the existing facility and delivers value to Hydroxyl's clients in the form of capital equipment savings, lower operating costs, guaranteed process optimization, and reliable performance.
All equipment designed with computer assisted modeling is guaranteed by Hydroxyl as completely scalable to full-scale design of ActiveCell™ processes.
