Real-Time System Monitoring

When investing in environmental technology, you want to ensure performance objectives are reliably met and processes are operating at optimum levels - especially at remote locations. For many Hydroxyl customers, confidence in system performance is increased by enabling remote monitoring capabilities for their systems.

Hydroxyl offers supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) capabilities for gathering and analyzing real-time data. Hydroxyl SCADA systems are used to monitor and control the functionality of all process equipment from remote locations. Hydroxyl technicians, customers, or both can access real-time system data from off-site locations.

Hydroxyl SCADA systems gather monitored information from system components (for example, a recycle pump). The SCADA system identifies a particular pump in the process, and determines if it is functioning within expected parameters or malfunctioning. The SCADA system then transfers the information back to a central monitoring site, alerts the operator monitoring station if a fault has occurred, determines if the fault is critical, and displays the information to the remote operator or technician in a logical, organized manner.

Hydroxyl SCADA systems can be very simple, providing features such as basic flow and level monitoring; Hydroxyl can also provide comprehensive SCADA systems, monitoring multiple process equipment components with data logging and wireless communications capabilities.

Remote Monitoring options include:

Data Logging

Retrieve system data in real-time remotely via hard-wire, cellular, or satellite based modems and locally via serial port connection.

Remote Alarm Notification

Receive instantaneous alarm notifications to remote locations via email, fax, or pager.

Remote Operation

Access PLC Operator Control Interface remotely via PC.

Wireless Communications

Access remote monitoring and operation capabilities over standard cellular networks.

Remote monitoring of your wastewater process gives you hands on control of the system anywhere in the world - enabling control over system operations and enabling improved response time in the event of system alarm condition.
